Funding opportunities for Endangered Languages

Language documentation and revitalization projects need adequate funding to be sustainable over time. While governmental support for endangered languages may be scanty in many parts of the world, there is a growing list of agencies and foundations who offer grants and fellowships for linguistic and cultural projects.

Note: We aim to update this list twice a year. Also, some of these may be invitation-only grants, and some may only apply to certain regions or populations.
